The time for fresh, local produce and fruit is now. Just about all the farmers’ markets in the Denver metro area have open, offering shoppers the best the state has to offer. From Palisade peaches to gourmet pickles to mushrooms almost too pretty to eat, here’s where you can go and see what Colorado grows and makes for your eating pleasure.

Cherry Creek Shopping Center

This bustling market boasts over 100 vendors, featuring seasonal Colorado produce, artisanal goods, food trucks, fashion trucks, live music, and free parking.Look for seasonal staples such as Palisade peaches and Rocky Ford melons, as well as French cheeses, vegan and gluten-free items, and more.

City Park Farmers Market

Enjoy over 60 local vendors from farmers to drink makers to chefs. There are plenty of food trucks and stands for a tasty bite, from south Indian fare from Chaatwala to Savory Vietnam’s crepes to hefty sandwiches from GetRights. South Pearl Street Farmers Market

Highlands Square Farmers Market

University Hills Farmers Market

This neighborhood-friendly market offers produce from Palizzi Farm and Forte Fruits, plus bakery goods, coffee, tamales, kombucha, lemonade, pasta, seafood, nut brittle, and candy. Green Valley Ranch Farmers Market

This year marks 10 years of the summer market, which has over 50 local vendors. Expect live music and on-site artists like face painters, caricaturists, and henna. The family-friendly market hosts local farms, small businesses, and plenty of food vendors.
